Can historic buildings actually talk to us?
“Sure they do. They speak to us with their majestic presence and their unique architectural elements, but only when we actually look, study, learn and acknowledge that they are worthy and should be kept around as they add so much quality to our daily lives.”

What is the Houston Historic Districts Coalition (HHDC)?
We are a group of concerned Houstonians who want to preserve the character of the many historic neighborhoods throughout Houston.
Our members are anyone interested in enjoying Houston’s Historic Districts, today and in the future and to share with generations to come.
Please check this website often. It gets updated almost daily.
Our first charge is to support Mayor Parker’s recommendation that Houston’s Historic Preservation Ordinance be amended to truly protect all city Historic Districts. The City Council is expected to vote on the proposed amendment in September.
Our yard signs have been printed and are in circulation. We printed 200 and more will be printed. We are suggesting a $5 contribution per sign.
Anybody that would like a sign, please email firstname.lastname@example.org They can be picked up a house in Heights West. Both comments and pings are currently closed.
